where have the past 7 months gone???

Playing with his rings...

Concentrating real hard...

Going for the grab...

Well, on April 14th Judson turned seven months old! I keep asking myself where in the world has the time gone? He is at such a fun age! Everything captures his attention! And he wants to be apart of everything!

Every Sunday I get a paper to look through the sale flyers and cut out the coupons. Judson's new role is helping me. Here he is making sure I don't miss this valuable diaper coupon :)

I am truly amazed at how wonderfully we are made! Judson has started eating finger foods and it blows my mind how he knows how to chew...it's not like this is something you can really teach. He has caught on so quickly that whenever I get the container out with his cereal he get super excited!!! And the majority of the time lets out a squeal :)

He is so precious and is a little cuddle bear! I am treasuring these moments!!! I know there will come a day pretty soon when mommy's lap will no longer be the place he likes to be. But for now I am going to continue to hug and squeeze all that I can!

Judson is such a precious gift! And has brought intense joy! David and I are blessed beyond words!

5 Years of Wedded Bliss

On April 9, 2010 David and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary. It is still hard to believe that 5 years have passed since we stood before our family and friends and said our vows! Where has the time gone? I must brag...my hubby has been so good to me! The last year has been a little bit crazy for us. And has taken me on an emotional rollercoaster, but David has stood by my side loving me in the midst of all my craziness.

David took me by complete surprise this year! For those of you who don't know the traditional wedding gift for your 5 year anniversary is wood. That is right wood...ladies I think we have to wait unitl about 60 years to get diamonds. :) Well, I woke up Friday morning and came out to find this.

Tears immediately filled my eyes! This was part of my piano that my dad refinished for me growing up. A couple of years ago when my parents moved to their new house they took the piano apart and kept the wood in hopes of making furniture out it. I had wanted to make a mirror out of this piece, but just had never gotten around to it. David knew my parents had kept the wood, so he gave my mom a call and asked if she would mind if he took some of it and had something made for our anniversary. This was a complete and utter surprise to me, I honestly can't remember the last time that David and I have even talked about the piano...so for him to remember this completely blew me away and then for it to be a gift that stuck with tradition was super special. Not only that but for it to have been something that my dad worked so hard at and to now have that hanging on our wall! What a thoughtful man! I am truly blessed!!!

Be Near Oh God...

Today has been a little rough. I have found myself asking, "God are you near?" It has been 7 months since my dad passed. The 10th, of whatever month it may be at the time, always leaves me feeling a little down. So I knew today might be a little rough, but the storms just kept coming. I have spent the last couple of hours just at His feet, crying out. The words that spill out of the speaker in the background, "your mercy reigns...they are new every morning," "beauty for ashes, a garment of PRAISE for my heaviness...I delight myself in the richest of fare, trading all the I have for all that is better."

He truly is the greatest taste and the richest of fares.

Lord I am thankful! I choose to be thankful, for all that You are and all that You have done!

I am BLESSED beyond all measures! Thank you for the AMAZING memories that I have of my daddy!

A Little Overdue

So I have finally gotten around to starting a blog. Just took me about six months, but I figure better late than never. So Judson will be six months old in one week and he is doing so many fun things. I am in utter amazement at how he discovers something new each day. I have been so incredibly blessed to be able to stay home with him and experience his "firsts". Thanks to David for being such a wonderful supporter and hardworker for our family.

Judson has started sitting up all by himself. And this is how he enjoys spending most of his time...sitting on the floor playing with his toys. Here is a little video so you can see how big he is getting.
